MACEDONIA, OH – [December 12, 2019] – Avatar bManagement Services recently held its annual SantaFest on December 7, benefiting Summit County Family Services, at their corporate headquarters in Macedonia, Ohio. Avatar employees, customers, suppliers, families and friends joined together for a night of holiday cheer. Party guests enjoyed gourmet food, dancing, music, and joyous company. However, at the center of the party was a charitable spirit.
More than one hundred people gathered in Avatar’s studios to raise awareness for Summit County Family Services. The group donated hundreds of toys for foster children this holiday season. Meanwhile, as the crowd danced and sang their hearts out to the musings of DJ Jules, people enjoyed a feast
fit for a king, provided by Mazzulo’s of Aurora. Throughout the magical evening, top shelf libations flowed under the careful delivery of mixologist Joe Cali, also known as “The Voice of Cleveland.”
It’s All for the Children
Throughout the night, Avatar founder and CEO Mark G. Gardner gleefully reminded the attendees what the celebration was really about. Gardner declared to everyone, “Take a look at all that loot under the tree and give yourselves a big hand. That’s what this is all about. Making Christmas come to life for 2,200 foster kids who otherwise would go without.”
As the evening went on, the mountain of toys and gifts grew. On Wednesday of the following week, several Avatarians, including Vice President Derek Lann, loaded the company bus and delivered the toys to the Children’s Services on Arlington Road in Akron. The Avatarians were met by Sandy DeLuca and a team of dedicated Summit County Family Service volunteers (nicknamed Santa’s Elves) to help unpack the holiday bounty.
Avatar Makes the World a BETTER Place
SantaFest is just one of the many socially responsible events hosted by Avatar every year. Throughout the holiday season, Avatarian’s gave back to the community by donating to the Haven of Rest, the Rayl Charitable Organization and by participating in what is known as “Purple Thursday”, where employees bring in clothing, blankets and other donations that are picked up by the local Vietnam Vets of America. Most recently, during the fall months, Avatar planted several new trees in order to promote better environmental practices. Avatar exists to make the world a safer place, but it exits to make the world a better place!
“It’s the time of year when we have the opportunity to give back for our many blessings, have a little fun and enjoy the spirit of the Holiday season,” remarked Derek Lann.
